Facilities at DRDC Suffield

The Suffield Range is a unique area in size and terrain and the capabilities and facilities that have been established on the EPG are a unique Canadian asset:


While they have been developed in support of the requirements of the Department of National Defence (DND), they have had, and continue to have important industrial spin-offs. Access to the EPG by Canadian industry is encouraged.

In 1992 the Minister of National Defence expressed support of an initiative to facilitate the use of the EPG by the Canadian Industrial sector to develop and test their products. Joint use of the EPG by industry and government can be beneficial to both parties.

Applications to use the EPG must adhere to the policies of the Government of Canada with respect to safety, environmental protection, DND operational priorities and cost-recovery mechanisms, amongst others.
