Research and Technologies

As the needs of DND have changed over the years, DRDC Suffield has remained a strategic defence resource. Many of the research and development activities at DRDC Suffield are unique. About half of the scientific effort at DRDC Suffield is directed to areas generally related to military engineering, mobility systems and weapons system evaluation. The other half of the scientific activities encompasses activities related to CB defence. Scientific and technological activities are supported by a full complement of services from meteorology, photography and field support, information services, facilities design and development, and materiel management.
